Somatic Bodywork
Somatic bodywork is an approach to healing that listens to the body’s intelligence rather than trying to override it.
Instead of working on the body, this work invites collaboration with it — supporting regulation, awareness, and gentle release at a pace the nervous system can trust. The protective armor of the body asks for gradual approach (without distraction) to access what was stored. The mind may need to speak the connection that is felt, in the moment, within days, or after a dream.
Sessions integrate skilled therapeutic touch with present-moment awareness, allowing the body to soften layers of holding within muscles, fascia, and connective tissue. As that stored tension releases, emotions or memories may surface naturally — not to be analyzed or forced in any way ~ simply acknowledged and integrated through felt sensation and breath.
This work is especially supportive for those navigating chronic pain, stress-related tension, trauma patterns, or periods of transition, including hormonal shifts and life changes. Sessions are guided by consent, clear boundaries, and attunement, creating a container where safety and choice are prioritized. Jen will use her discernment with the goals of new or existing clients, allowing time to develop and build on this process with each individual. This may be increased sessions for a short period of time (ex: weekly or bimonthly for 3-6months, then less frequently)
The intention is not to fix or push the body, but to restore a sense of connection, trust, and grounded presence —
allowing healing to unfold organically.

Each session is unique and responsive to your body’s needs that day.
You can expect:slow, intentional therapeutic touch
attention to breath and internal sensation
clear communication and consent throughout
space for rest, integration, and nervous system regulation
This is not a performance-based or goal-driven experience. You are always welcome to pause, adjust, or opt out of any aspect of the session.
-
Somatic bodywork may be a good fit if you:
experience chronic or recurring pain
feel “stuck” despite other forms of treatment
are highly sensitive or empathic
want a body-centered approach that honors emotional depth
prefer a slower, more attuned style of care.
-
Somatic bodywork is not psychotherapy or trauma processing. While emotional material may arise, the focus remains on bodily sensation, regulation, and present-moment awareness. This work complements — but does not replace — mental health care or medical treatment.
Somatic Bodywork is most effective and beneficial if the individual has been receiving counseling and/or has the resources to continue counseling treatment, coaching or group therapy services.

Go to group classes and then try the techniques at home! You’ll notice a difference. It’s easier when you’re guided and energetic support is available. When you feel safe and ready to do any of these practices at home with a partner, friend or by yourself - you can continue your progress in-between therapy sessions and see what works for your body to continue as part of your routine self-care.

I
This is a clothed session, for ease of movement and relaxing fully.
Let’s discuss your goals or intentions for your session. Your body follows what you decide and how available you are to open into and towards that pathway.
If it feels aligned = decide to allow this session to help clear, open and process whatever needs to move through your energy body.
Please be open to acknowledge what you feel within your body and to a reset of your energy, awareness and deeper healing to help your fascial relax and unwind when/if it’s available to you.
What this really means is - not stopping or holding back on what happens - a tremor, a twitch, spasm, gentle small or big movement your body is guiding to adjust your spine or alignment - if it happens, we’ll simply observe and be curious how your body chooses to receive healing at this session.
Session begins with face down or side-lying twists and opening range of motion, back-spine work, then optional breath, energy + Sound therapy.
I’m practicing and regaining confidence in the Somatic dialoguing in April - so check back as this session to be more available after May.
